Fundraising Support Programs
The Heart of Texas Chapter annually supports veterans and their dependents through several programs.
Scholarships: Since 2006, the Chapter has provided over $129,000 in scholarships to veterans and/or their dependents from the central Texas area to continue their educational goals at accredited colleges/universities.
Grants: Since 2006, the Chapter has provided over $34,000 in grants to Baylor Army and Baylor Air & Space Force Reserve Officer (ROTC) programs. The Chapter has also provided over $22,000 in grants to Junior ROTC, Young Marines and Civil Air Patrol cadets from five area high schools.
Donations: Since 2006, the Chapter has provided over $15,000 in donations to central Texas veterans’ support organizations. Since 2023, the Chapter has provided quarterly non-perishable food donations to the Veterans One Stop in Waco.
All of these activities are funded to the Chapter’s annual golf fundraiser tournament and donations from the local business community and our members
