Mission Objectives

The Heart of Texas Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (HOT MOAA) supports and promotes the purposes and programs of MOAA National. HOT MOAA protects the rights and interests of personnel of the eight uniformed services and their dependents and survivors.
MOAA’s advocacy helps to protect the pay and benefits for our nation’s servicemen and women who serve, or have served, in the Army, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, Navy, Marines, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Public Health Service.
MOAA is a most vital military association that fosters fraternal relations among retired, active duty, and former commissioned officers and warrant officers of the eight uniformed services and their reserve components.
HOT MOAA chapter legislative liaisons encourage state government officials to be aware of military initiatives such as advocating for a strong national defense.
HOT MOAA also provides information for members and their dependents and survivors on current and proposed military affairs and pending and new legislation possibly affecting their interests and encourages chapter members to serve the community and our great nation.
The HOT MOAA chapter is also a member of the Texas Council of Chapters which supports and promotes federal and Texas State legislation that will assist veterans, especially disabled and needy war veterans and members of the United States Armed Forces and their dependents and the widows and orphans of deceased veterans; and encourage and coordinate such legislative action of the Member Chapters within the state and support the operations of Texas Chapters and promote a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among those Chapters, including supporting the development of new chapters.
The Heart of Texas Chapter of MOAA is a member of the National MOAA organization and together we are the nation’s largest and most influential association of military officers. We are an independent, nonprofit, politically nonpartisan organization.
