Grant & Donation Programs

The Heart of Texas Chapter provides monetary support to the Baylor Army and Baylor Air & Space Force ROTC programs.  The amount of support is budgeted and approved by the Chapter Board of Directors. The grant to each program is given to deserving ROTC cadets as determined by Department Chair / Detachment Commander of each program.

The Heart of Texas Chapter provides monetary support to five area high schools’ JROTC, Young Marines and Civil Air Patrol (CAP) programs. The amount of support is budgeted and approved by the Chapter Board of Directors. The grant to each program is given to deserving JROTC, Young Marines and CAP cadets as determined by each programs’ leadership. Schools receiving grants are: Connally High School, La Vega High School, Midway High School, University High School and Waco High School.

Each year, the Chapter’s Board of Directors reviews local area veterans’ organizations needs and determines the veterans organization that merits our support and approves the amount donated to each. For 2023 – 2024, these were the Veterans One Stop, Baylor Vets Program, Chapter 3 DAV and the Stan Parker Foundation.
